Carolyn Taylor Badgett, age 83, of Arlington, Tx died November 14, 2016 after a brief illness. She was born in Gainesville, Tx, raised in Lubbock, Tx, graduated from Texas Tech and received her Masters’ Degree from UT Arlington. She spent over 30 years in social work and counseling in the DFW area. She is survived by her daughter Cindy Guinn of Lubbock, Tx and her son, Jeff Badgett, of Carrollton, Tx, their spouses, 5 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. A private family service will be in Lubbock.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Carolyn was my friend and just found out she is gone. Things got busy and I hadn’t had a chance to see her for a few months. Despite being old enough to be my mother, we were good friends and I enjoyed visiting and taking her to dinner or fixing whatever she needed help with. I loved your mom dearly and wish I had known sooner for I would have sent flowers. Your mom was a wonderful lady and friend and she is missed!
I am Cherie Ramirez, I have memories of Ms Carolyn. She did council me when my family was torn apart because of my husband’s addiction. She gave me strength that has grown only greater.. I was hoping to tell her how much she helped me & my children. Their grown now raising their own families.
