Carol Lowry Lee
Carol “Diddy” Lowry Lee, 59, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2015, after a mercifully short battle with dementia. Carol was born in Wichita Falls, TX on June 15, 1955 to William Price Lowry and Bonnie Lyle Lowry, and was one of four siblings. After living in Abilene Tx, she met and fell in love with Jay Carroll Lee. Together they had two daughters, Caroline Lee Miller and Bonnie Lee Miller. Carol dedicated herself to her family, staying home to nurture her children and create a happy family. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, Girl’s Weekends every year with her closest friends, and more than anything playing with her two grandchildren. Carol was known for her sharp wit and sense of humor, her sarcasm and irreverence and infectious laugh. Even as her dementia worsened, she was still kind and easygoing, making people laugh right until the end. Carol’s passion was for people, and she loved her friends and family more than anything. Carol was preceded in death by her husband of 18 years, Jay Carroll Lee, both of her parents William Price Lowry and Bonnie Lyle Lowry, and her sister in law Kathy Lee Elliott. Carol is survived by her daughter Caroline and her two grandchildren Aiden and Claire, her daughter Bonnie and her husband Travis; her sister Bonnie Beth, brother William Price Lowry III, and sister Alison Kraft; her sister in law Lynda Monaco; and many lifelong friends. Memorial services will be held on Sunday March 8, at 2:00pm at St. Peter and St. Paul Episcopal Church in Arlington. Flowers may be sent to the church through ProFlowers, or in lieu of flowers a donation can be made to Hospice House in Burleson Tx in her honor.
