Carlos Arthur
Carlos Ray Arthur, 57, of Arlington, TX, died Saturday morning, September 18, 2021. He was born on February 29, 1964, in Portsmouth, Ohio, the son of David and Sharon (Frazier) Arthur and Joyce (Adkins) Bauman and graduated from Northmor High School and Pioneer Career and Technology Center. He worked many years as a tool and die maker and could teach himself anything—from trigonometry to baking pepperoni bread. Carlos enjoyed working in his machine shop for many years. Whether he was welding or fixing cars, he was most in his element when tinkering with or creating things. He was social in the community and never knew a stranger: his personality shone brightest when he was helping others. Carlos also enjoyed visiting local streams to collect and polish his favorite rocks. Carlos is survived by his three daughters: Tabytha Arthur (Tucker Fogg) of Bexley, Ohio, Paige Arthur of Riceboro, Georgia, and Carlynn Arthur (James Workman) of Hiram, OH; his sisters Rhonda Craft and Beth Taylor of Arlington, Texas; brothers Tim Arthur of Ontario, and David Jr. (Karin) Arthur of Lexington, Ohio; and many nephews, nieces, loved ones, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, David Arthur; mother, Sharon (Frazier) Arthur; mother, Joyce (Adkins) Bauman; Grandparents, Carl and Elizabeth (Betts) Arthur, Earnest and Nancy “Nannie” (Fraley) Adkins, and his sister Michelle Leonard Jordan. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 25th at Victory Church of Christ (12470 Upper Fredericktown Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050) for a celebration of life. The service will be held from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. At the request of Carlos’s daughters, masks will be required at the service. They thank you for respecting their wishes. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made at the celebration of life to help with the costs of services. Excess funds will be directed to Behavioral Healthcare Partners of Central Ohio in his honor. If you are unable to attend this celebration but would like to contribute to this fund, please direct payments to Tabytha Arthur: 1011 Chelsea Ave Bexley, OH 43209.
