Brenda Kay Langley
Brenda Kay Langley was born April 10, 1957 in Dallas, Texas to Hubert C. and Lorretta M. Liebel. She left this world July 16, 2018 after a second battle with cancer at the age of 61 years old in Kaufman, Texas. Brenda grew up in Dallas spending all her time with her siblings and cousins. She attended Carter High School, then started a family, which was her pride and joy. Her love for her family was everything. Brenda always wanted her family and friends around, whether it was planning to cook breakfast on the weekend when she knew everyone was coming to visit, or huge holiday dinners where the food and visitors overflowed the house. She especially loved keeping her grandchildren for the weekend. That brought her the most happiness. Brenda was a jack of all trades, from crafting to auto repair. There wasn’t much she couldn’t do. She held many different jobs during her lifetime. Some of which included painting homes, home health care, driving hot shot deliveries, running a convenience store, tax preparation, then finding her love of refinishing and re-purposing furniture and other crafts. During the time her children were growing up, she was room mother even with a full time job, as well as coached softball and cheerleading. During the last several years of Brenda’s life, she was fortunate enough to discover her love of traveling. She was able to visit family in Florida, Virginia, Alaska, Colorado, Kansas, and New York. She went to see the White House in Washington, D.C., and several other places she had never been before. Brenda was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, brother Clinton Liebel, nephew Scotty Langley, son-in-law Shawn Farris, in-laws Bobby and Mildred Langley, and brothers-in-law Bobby and Keith Langley. Brenda is survived by husband Terry Langley, children Kimberly Choate and her husband Ray, Joshua Langley and his wife Christina, and Melody LaCour and her husband Nelson, grandchildren Misti, Joshua C., Eric and his wife Kara, Jesse, Joshua L., Brent, Justin, Kaytlin, Chandler, Christopher, Coleman, Kaylee, Aaron and Jaxson, and great grandchildren Christian, Aubrey and Ryleigh. She is also survived by her step mother Lilly Mae Liebel, siblings Paul Liebel and wife Sharon, Pamela Perkins and her husband Randy, Shirley Dickerson and her husband Jimmy, Vicky Langley, Andrea Tompkins, John Tompkins and his wife Joyce, and James Mott, and her honorary sister and best friend Verdonna Hass and the Hass family, as well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends. The world has lost a beautiful soul, but she left her mark and will never be forgotten. Memorial Service for Brenda Saturday, August 4th at 2:30pm River Of Life Church 304 S. Elm Street  Kemp, TX Celebration of life to follow at her daughter Kim’s farm in Scurry.
