Robert Reid (Bob) Stewart
BURLESON – Robert Reid (Bob) Stewart died peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015. Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home. Bob was a loving, caring, generous and kind man. He was a beloved father, Paw Paw and great-grandfather. Bob was a self made, hard working man who loved his family, friends and the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking and traveling the country. Bob was never happier than when he had a house full of family and friends sharing a big meal prepared by him. Bob’s smoked brisket was legendary and his food always came with a “money back guarantee”. Bob’s friends are too numerous to count and he never met a stranger. He loved and adored his children and grandchildren and they were the light of his life. He was quick to brag about them to anyone who would listen. Bob was a wonderful man. We love him dearly and will miss him terribly Survivors: Children, Rob Stewart and wife Hiromi, Reid Stewart and wife Christie, Shelly Allred and husband Mike and Cheryl Kaufman; sister, Sue Millington; grandchildren, Mia, Arielle, Bella, Collin, Sydney, Shyanne, Colton, Aislinn and Ashton; great-grandchild, Raiden. When I’m gone Don’t mourn for me, But instead go sit under the big Oak Tree. Feel the breeze upon your face And remember this was my favorite place. Smell the aroma of the barbecue, That was cooked with Love for many or just a few. I love to cook and hear you say, “Dad, that’s the best, it made my day.” Late in life I came to know My assets were all of you and watching you grow. I know not when the end will come But I have been blessed far more than anyone. The four of you that I have raised Have brought me much joy and from friends much praise. In the shade of a tree with a slow cooking ember I will be with you and your family to remember. So don’t mourn for me For I will be with you for eternity. Your Loving Dad

  5. To the family and all Bobs friends :
Bob had more friends of anyone I have ever known.. He was the true HAPPY CAMPER !
He loved all his friends and loved being the Head Chef. He was a true friend to my husband, Ken. He helped Ken so much and Ken loved all the help with Bobs fishing tips.
This is a great loss to many many people.
I send my sincere sympathy to all. He will be sorely missed by many and hope that Bob and Ken can now get together and hash over all the good times. Rest in peace my friend and feel no more pain.

  9. To Rob, Shelly, Rowdy and Cheryl- Your Dad was such a great man to work for. I learned so much about the insurance business from him and never tired of his stories about his early days in the business.

He’s catching catfish and planning his next fish fry with the angels…I am sorry for your loss and hope comfort and love for each other will give to strength.

  17. I am so sorry for your loss and having lost my Mother just two short years ago I can feel your pain. I watched the wonderful video and although I never knew the man I saw his love for life adventure and mostly his love for his family. I wished I had words to help you and your family in their time of need but know we are thinking about you and the girls and yal are in our prayers. If there is anything we can do just ask. 21. To the family of Bob Stewart,

Bob has been our neighbor for over 20 years. Bob was just like part of our family. He loved his family and friends. I know he is in a much better place with no pain and suffering. We will miss seeing him sitting on his porch with a big smile and wave and his great sense of humor. He could always put a smile on your face with one of his jokes. Bob was the one that got us interested in buying our first RV. He loved his camping and fishing and cooking for everyone. He couldn’t wait until he was off on another trip. He will be dearly missed. A piece of everyone’s heart will be missing because he touched so many. Miss you Bob. We Love You.
