Bessie Mae Brown
Bessie Mae Brown Bessie Mae Brown, 89, went home to be with the Lord on December 27, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She suffered a massive stroke in August 2016 and held on as long as she could. Viewing will be Monday, January 2, 2017 from 6:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M. at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home, 12301 South Freeway, Fort Worth, TX 76028. Services will be held Tuesday January 3, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Harvest Assembly of God, 7501 Crowley Rd., Fort Worth, TX 76134, Graveside Service will be held at Laurel Land Memorial Park Cemetery 7100 Crowley Rd., Fort Worth, TX 76134. Bessie was born in Mansfield, AR on September 1, 1927. She moved with her family to Houston, TX in 1930. She met her husband, Jimmy Brown, when her brother John and his family moved to Whitney, TX.   Bessie and Jimmy married in Carlsbad, NM on November 13, 1949. Bessie and Jimmy were residents of Ft. Worth for 61 years and moved to Burleson in 2010. She attended Harvest Assembly of God Church for approximately 50 years and was a member for about 35 years. She was a devoted mother and grandmother to her 5 children, 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years: Jimmy Brown; children: Judy Freeman, Rita Brown, Denise Hay, Rhonda Eldridge and Larry Brown; grandchildren: Tina Hughes, Deanna Tidwell, Michelle Rogers, Kevin Hicks, Brandi Lile, Keith Hicks, Christi Graves, Charlie Longley, Tami Wade, Steve Freeman, Laura Ellsworth, Elia Castaneda and Eliseo Castaneda; great-grandchildren: Kristin, Ashlea, Brittany, Maci, Jake, Christopher, Lauren, Tyler, Gavin, Sam, Justin, Noah, Alex, Addison, Samantha, Easton, Piper and Deacon; great-great-grandchildren, Alayjah, Ryleigh and Savannah; and Sister Marie Lisembee. She was preceded in death by her parents: James and Zipporah Mathews; brothers: John, Herman, Floyd and Capper; sisters: Eliza, Gertrude, Lucille, Edress and Lorene; and Infant Children: Rebecca, Ronald and Tammy.
