Barry Sivley
Barry Jack Sivley, age 69, was taken to his eternal heavenly home on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 while surrounded by his loving family. He was met by his parents, William (Dub) L and Nathilee Sivley. Growing up, Barry liked to live on the edge. He had many stories and he was always happy to tell them. In 1977, Barry married the love of his life, Sandra, after just 9 months of dating. They were blessed with 45 wonderful years together, 3 children, and 4 grandchildren. Anyone who knew Barry knew his love for his family and more importantly for his Savior. Barry gave his life to Christ in the back yard of his Sunday school teacher and pastor, the very pastor that would officiate his and Sandra’s wedding just a year later. Barry is survived by his wife, Sandra Sivley; his son and daughter-in-law, Sean and Grace Sivley; his daughter and son-in-law, Brittany and Ben Foy; his daughter and son-in-law, Jessica Sivley and Robert Garcia; his grandchildren, Ciarra, Robin, Isaak, Simon; his sister and brother, Gail Martin and Les Sivley; his nieces and nephews, Kenny, Terry, Nicole, Bill, Sara; and his Sophie-girl (dog). We will celebrate Barry’s life on Friday, February 24, 2023, at 11am. The service will be held at Christian Care Community’s Memorial Auditorium at 1000 Wiggins Pkwy, Mesquite, TX 75150. 1. Barry was a special person . I first met him through his dad dub. Dub brought him down one day and introduced him and wanted me to give him a job. Barry had a past and I was willing to take a chance. I gave him a job and have never regretted that decision. He grew into a wonderful productive person. He was also my friend. He had an excellent successful career and made me prouder than words could say. Many times I looked back on that decision and feel very thankful that I had a small part in the wondergul future he enjoyed. Tell Dub I said hi. I will see you some day.

  3. One would have to search far and wide to find a better friend than Barry. He loved his family, loved his God and was proud of both. In the dark days ahead, I hope his children draw solice in the knowledge of how much he loved them and that Sandra finds peace in the fact that she was his life’s mate, his true love. Let all believers rejoice in our assurance of a heavenly reunion.
