Allan D. Thieme
Grand Prairie – Allan Davis Thieme, 58, passed away Tuesday June 18, 2013 in the Community Hospice of Texas House at Huguley following a long and courageous battle with cancer.  He was surrounded by his loving family.   Memorial Service:  2 P.M. Friday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home 12301 South Freeway, Fort Worth, Texas 76028   Memorials:  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials sent to Community Hospice of Texas House at Huguley, 301 Medpark Circle, Burleson, Texas 76028 or a charity of choice.   Allan was born August 17, 1954 in Greenville, Mississippi.  After seeing the world through the eyes of a military child, he moved with his family to Texas where he attended Western Hills High School.  In 1973 he graduated from Judson High School in Converse, Texas.  Allan worked for many years in the DFW area for grocery businesses Winn Dixie and Tom Thumb.  Although working in many different areas, Allan’s favorite was that of Receiving Manager.   Allan always had a smile and a story to tell.  He enjoyed visiting with family and friends of which he had many.  He especially enjoyed his weekly visits with his friends at the Texas Roadhouse in Grand Prairie. He will truly be missed by all.   The family would like to thank all the doctors and numerous medical professionals that participated in his care.  A special thanks goes to those at the Community Hospice of Texas House at Huguley in Burleson for their excellent care in his final hours.   Allan was preceded in death by his father LTC USAF (Retired) Roger E. Thieme; grandmother Frances McCourt, grandfather Talmadge Bozeman, and grandparents Ervin and Ida Thieme. Survivors:  Wife of 29 years, Stacie Thieme; Mother, Shirley Thieme; Brother, Michael Thieme and wife Paula; Sister, Kristi Ely and husband Jack; Nephew, LTJG Jason Ely and wife Megan; Pets, Blessing, Sophie and Grayson; and a host of extended family and friends
