Alice Hampton
Alice Theresa Hampton, 87, passed away Tuesday, May 24th,2022. Alice was born March 23, 1935, in Lindsay, Texas to Nicholas and Theresa Neu, the ninth of 10 children. She deeply loved all of her siblings. Alice graduated from Slaton High School. She was athletic and played basketball. After high school, Alice worked diligently to graduate from Texas Tech University with a Masters in Speech Therapy along with a specialization as a Counselor and Diagnostician- all while raising 5 children. Education was of the utmost importance to her. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and the American Business Women’s Association. Alice developed mastery in the areas of investments and real estate. She meticulously researched her family history and documented her findings in a book. After retiring from the Educational system, she resided in both Granbury, Texas and Lakeway, Texas but continued to travel extensively with children and grandchildren. Alice lived life to the fullest. She was no homebody. She loved to dance, travel the world, and be in the company of family and friends. Her sense of humor and wit was what set her apart from others. Alice was a Catholic and active member of St Frances Cabrini in Granbury, Texas. Later, she helped build the Queen of Angels Catholic church in Spicewood, Texas and also attended Emmaus Catholic Church in Lakeway, Texas. She was preceded in life by her all of her siblings except for one dear sister, Marie Macha of Marlin, Texas. Survivors : Her children, Gary Hampton of Spicewood, Texas and Canda Fadduol of Santa Barbara, California and Cindy Isom of Granbury, Texas and Cheri McLellan of Granbury, Texas and Christy Hampton of Lakeway, Texas. She had 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews that were close to her heart. A celebration of Alice’s life will be an intimate gathering of family to be scheduled. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please present flowers to a living loved one or kindly plant a flower in your garden as a remembrance of Alice.
