James Andrew McCain
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of James Andrew McCain, who left this world on February 17, 2025, in Mansfield, TX, at the age of 66. Born on July 8, 1958, in Washington D.C., James lived a life marked by love, service, and dedication, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege to know him. James was a devoted husband to Debbie McCain for 46 years, celebrating their love on June 26, 1978. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with cherished memories and unwavering support for one another. James was a loving father to his daughter, Jaimie McCain, and he took great pride in his late son, James Andrew McCain II (Andy), whose spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. He is survived by his beloved wife, Debbie; daughter, Jaimie; and a family that includes his sister Sharron White; brother Paul McCain; sister Ela Rodriguez; brother- in- law Ray Wyatt ; sister- in- law Jayme McCain; brother- in- law David and his wife Mol lie Brown; brother-in-law Jimmy and wife Bobbie Brown; sister-in-law Donna Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews. James is preceded in death by his parents, Winfred McCain and Shirley McCain; brother Allen McCain; sister Carol Wyatt; brother Mark McCain; niece Krista Fortune; parents-in-law JC and Billie Brown; brother-in-law John Edward Brown (Eddie); and brother- in- law Ronnie Brown. Having proudly served in the Army, James exemplified the values of courage, commitment, and sacrifice, reflecting the generous spirit he demonstrated throughout his life. James was not only a devoted family man but also an enthusiastic sports fanatic who eagerly followed the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and Dallas Stars, wearing their team colors with pride. He was often found cheering from his favorite Dallas Cowboys chair, as he enjoyed celebrating victories and sharing great moments with fans, friends and family. Warm and friendly by nature, James had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome; his infectious laughter and willingness to lend a listening ear brought joy to those around him. He cherished quality time with loved ones and valued the simple pleasures of life. As we mourn his loss, we celebrate the enduring legacy of love and kindness James leaves behind. He will be profoundly missed by his family and friends and remembered for the joy and strength he brought into their lives. In honor of James, a memorial service will be held to share stories, celebrate his life, and give thanks for the time we had with him at: Southside Ci ty Church 2606 Hemphill St, Fort Worth, TX 76110 on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 10:00 AM

  1. It was such an honor to spend wonderful times with James and Debbie in their home during the last several months of his life. This whole family is dear to my heart and will remain in my prayers. God knew we would walk this road together and blessed us with a friendship that I cherish. Prayers continue especially for Debbie. We are here for you.

  2. Very sorry to hear of his passing. I was a longtime friend of his in the old neighborhood. He was a important part of the “Legacy” we all experienced growing up as kids. RIP James!

  3. James and I were childhood brothers’ we went to the same schools and enjoyed each other families!
