Pamela Marie Dickson Keith, 74, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2025 in Lewisville, Texas. A lifelong Texan, Pam was born on February 6, 1951, in Dallas, Texas and raised in the Oak Cliff area. She graduated from David W. Carter High School in Dallas and went on to be the first member of her family to earn a bachelor’s degree, graduating from East Texas State University (now known as Texas A&M-Commerce). She started her teaching career in the little west Texas town of Guthrie continuing on in the Dallas and Carrollton-Farmers Branch school districts. Pam taught at Hedrick Middle School in Lewisville, concluding her career after 35 years in May 2015. Pam met Michael Keith at Northway Baptist Church and they married in May 1975. They settled in Carrollton and raised their two sons and attended First Baptist Church in Carrollton, where she taught first grade Sunday school for many years. She was involved in the PTA, serving as President at R. L Turner High School in 1996 and earned the Honorary Life Membership Award. She was an active member in P.E.O., an organization dedicated to advancing women through education. Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Robert O. and Elsie Ruth Dickson of Dallas, Texas. Pam is survived by her devoted husband of 49 years, Michael W. Keith of Lewisville, Texas; her son, Phillip Keith, and his spouse Kelley of Plano, Texas; her son, Joel Keith, and his spouse Nicole McCracken of Austin, Texas; and grandchildren Claire Elizabeth and Owen Oliver of Plano, Texas, and Helena Rose, of Austin, Texas; her sister, Barbara Davis, and spouse Dennis of Desoto, Texas, her brother, Larry Dickson, of Grand Saline, Texas, and brother, Lynn Dickson, and spouse MaryAnn of Tyler, Texas; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on March 13th, 2025 at 10:00AM at Royal Lane Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pam’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Association or Royal Lane Baptist Church. Pam will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her legacy of devotion to and joy for her family and friends will endure in their hearts.
