Jerry Arthur Price, 77, of Grand Prairie, Texas, passed away on February 18, 2025. He was born April 4, 1947 in Ada, Oklahoma. Jerry married Marie Howell in 1967 and they had two children, Christine Harrington and Sharon Price (Carmella Caprario). He had one grandchild, Allie Stoller. He is also survived by his sister Nora, 4 nieces and 2 nephews. He graduated John Marshall High School in Oklahoma City in 1965. Jerry went on to further his education at Wayland Baptist University where he received his BS in Occupational Education. He also received a Masters of Education from the University of Southern California. From 1966, Jerry served in the US Air Force as a Civil Engineer, retiring in 1993 as a Senior Master Sergeant. After his military career, Jerry enjoyed his time as a School Bus Driver for the Mansfield, Texas ISD. Jerry dedicated his time to volunteering with Meals on Wheels. God was important to him and Rush Creek Christian Church Disciples of Christ was a very large part of his spiritual practice. He enjoyed the life and love that he found there. He was a Scripture Reader and enjoyed serving as a Baptism Mentor. He enjoyed volunteering with the children during vacation bible school and story times. Jerry served on the Memorial Committee at the church. He loved to participate and be with others. He was also a proud member of the Rush Creek Men’s Group. He almost never missed a meeting. Outside of his work and volunteer activities, Jerry enjoyed traveling with his family. Jerry and Marie were blessed to build many beautiful memories in their 57 years of marriage. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Jerry Price lost his battle with cancer, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones. An Interment will be held at the Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery on April 4th at 10 AM. 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211. This will be a brief ceremony. The Traditional Memorial Services will be held at Rush Creek Christian Church Disciples of Christ at 11 AM on April 5, 2024. 2401 South Green Oaks Blvd Arlington, TX 76017. I had the privilege of working with Jerry at MISD for 12 years. He was always friendly and helpful. He truly lived his faith.
