Arthur Roscoe Piercy, 76, of Waxahachie, Texas, passed peacefully on February 23, 2025. He was born on May 6, 1948, in Monticello, Kentucky, to Porter and Neva Piercy. He married the love of his life, Joan Piercy, on January 23, 1970, in Muncie, Indiana. The couple was together for 56 years. Arthur served in the US Army until 1973, when he was honorably discharged as a Vietnam Veteran. Arthur loved his family and had a way with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, building swings in the backyard and taking them for walks to the local store. A hard worker, he liked to do woodwork and built a beautiful garden. A true gentleman in every sense of the word, he always opened doors for his wife and ensured that he remained the protector of his family. In retirement, he spent time with his beloved wife and their dog, Snow. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents and father and mother-in-law, Vernon and Della Gibson, and his sisters, Leotta Woody, Leatha Short, and Juanita Blevins, and his brother, Ronnie Piercy. Arthur is survived by his loving wife, Joan Piercy; children Julia Khalaf (Mohammed Khalaf) and Aaron Piercy (Mindy Piercy); grandchildren Joan Enriquez (Louis Enriquez, Jr.), Andrew Noel (Jaycee Noel), Sam Piercy, Adam Khalaf, and Noah Khalaf; great-grandchildren Jessie Noel, Cyrus Noel, and Julia Enriquez; and sisters Norma Peck and Mary Keesling (Brian Keesling) and brother Clayton Piercy.
