Katherine Joan Ramzy
Katherine Joan Ramzy went to dance with the angels in Heaven on February 16, 2025. Kathy was born January 20, 1958 in Washington, D.C. to Marvin and Alberta McDaniel. She was raised in Alameda, CA with her siblings; brother Patrick (wife Magdalena) McDaniel, brother Michael McDaniel, sister Pamela McDaniel, sister Sandy Trevino and brother Johnny (wife Claudia) McDaniel. Upon marrying the father of her two children she moved to Texas in 1980. They traveled around from town to town and made a home in Cedar Hill, TX in 1982. She was a devoted homemaker and raised her children who later blessed her with eight grandchildren. Her son, Bobbie Ramzy III (Trey) of Rio Vista, children Mackenzie, Ethan, Aidan, Malachi and Dustin. Daughter, Tabatha Davis (husband Kett Davis) of Maypearl, children Jonathan, Dylan and Kamryn. Though she loved bowling, reading, sewing and watching COPS, Kathy’s favorite role was being a Grammers. She treasured her time with her grandkids and loved them dearly! Whether it was planting a flower bed, going to school events, attending their games, embarrassing them by singing in public at a restaurant or caring for them while they were sick, she would cancel any plans she may have had to be there for them. Kathy had a soft spot for her furry friends, treating each and every one of them as valuable family members they were. Kathy will always be remembered for infectious laugh and her kind soul. We could not have asked for a better sister, momma, Grammers and friend. She will be missed immensely every day and her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her. A special thank you to her many friends that have played such a huge role in her life; the family would like to express their genuine gratitude to Trinket (husband Poggy) Dillard for your kindness, compassion, and support not only throughout your entire friendship most importantly you going above and beyond providing comfort and peace to Kathy and family in her final days. We will be forever thankful to you! Her Celebration of Life will be held March 8,2025 from 1pm-3pm at FaithPointe 908 Sycamore St Waxahachie, TX 76165
