In Loving Memory of Manuela Flores Garcia… It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Manuela Flores Garcia, age 68, of Fort Worth, Texas, who was called home to be with the Lord on February 13th, 2025, after a courageous battle with illness. Manuela was born on April 29, 1956, in Pharr, Texas, to Manuel G Flores and Delores (Lola Medina) Flores. Manuela spent her formative years growing up in Texas before relocating to Colorado, where she spent her early years dedicating her time to caring for others in a skilled nursing facility in Southeast Colorado in a town named Lamar CO. Manuela is survived by her devoted husband, Bernardo, and six children: Christina (Mathew) Cruz, Allen Ray Andrade, and Lavina (Louis) Gehringer of Denver, Colorado, as well as John (Jessica) Arquette Jr., Kitcha (Scott) Dieter, and Manuela (Shawn) Flores of Michigan. Manuela is also survived by her brothers Manuel (Alicia) Flores Jr., Ruben Flores, and Alex Flores, as well as her sisters Maria Louisa Flores, and Lydia Herrera, all of Texas. Manuela has 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents Manuel G Flores and Lola Flores, as well as her sisters Berta Flores, Delores (Leyna) Martin, and brothers: Sammy Flores, Danny Flores, and Felix Flores. Manuela loved to cook and listen to Tejano music. Manuela had an outgoing personality and would travel when she could see her kids and spend time with grandkids. Manuela spent most of her vocation caring for the elderly and spent time working for hospice care in the greater metro area of Ft Worth. Manuela was known for her infectious laughter, love for family gatherings, and her vibrant spirit and feisty personality. A private memorial service will be held on February 20th, 2025, at 2 PM at the home of Manuel Jr. and Alicia Flores located in Azle, Texas. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Baylor Hospital, Renaissance Park, Heart to Heart Comfort Care and each family member who was beside our beloved mother during her transition. “Faith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe”. – St Augustine Manuela will be deeply missed, and her light will continue to shine through the memories stored in our hearts.
