Shawn Carrier passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 29, 2025. He was born on December 30, 1967, in Fort Worth, Texas, and was a proud member of the Little Shell Band of Chippewa Indians of Montana. Predeceased by his parents and two elder sisters, Shawn is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Steffanie Carrier. He leaves behind three sons, Shawn, Hunter, and Rhett, and a stepdaughter, Whitney. He also leaves behind three cherished grandchildren. Before Shawn became ill, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He proudly displayed a trophy of a beautiful elk he shot in Montana at the age of 25 in his living room. He loved to fly fish and often took his kids fishing or hunting whenever he could. Shawn worked for Vought Aircraft in Grand Prairie, Texas, until he fell ill in 2010. The family will hold a private memorial and a private spreading of his ashes. In lieu of flowers, any donations to help the family travel to Montana to spread Shawn’s ashes would be greatly appreciated.
