Ardis Adams
Ardis Adams, born on April 22, 1940, in Ithaca, New York, passed away on January 9, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. She was preceded in death by her brother Crawford and was the cherished daughter of Everett and Caroline Adams. Ardis earned both her Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Education from the University of Arizona. Dedicating her life to learning and helping others. She was a proud member of Lions Club International for 25 years, embodying their mission of service and community support. For 15 years, she and her best friend operated their business, Dis-ease Busters, in Gallup, New Mexico, devoted to assisting the Native American teens with drug and alcohol recovery efforts. An adventurous spirit guided Ardis throughout her life. She embraced every opportunity to explore—whether it was participating in an archaeological dig in Portugal, working out weekly at the gym with her son Erik, traveling to Germany to visit her daughter Charise and son-in-law Klaus, or her weekly adventures with her daughter Kendra (kayaking, ziplining, and drumming class). Her zest for life was evident in her vibrant personality; she adorned her white hair with a splash of purple and wore a tattoo of three stars on her neck as a tribute to her children. She is survived by two cousins, Bruce and Tony and her three children, Charise (Klaus), Kendra (Shane), and Erik; and three grandchildren, Quinn (Lexi), Hayden, and Colt. She also leaves behind countless friends and loved ones who will forever cherish her adventurous spirit and kind heart. Ardis found joy in connecting with others and her warmth and enthusiasm left an indelible mark on all who knew her. May Ardis’ memory inspire those who knew her to live boldly and embrace life’s adventures with the same passion she did.
