Clinton Spruill
Clinton Spruill, born on October 12, 1949, in Swans Quarter, North Carolina, passed away on January 13, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. The son of Irene Forcey and Talmon Griffin, Clinton proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he embarked on a successful career as a contract computer programmer, for over 30 years. Clinton had a deep appreciation for music and sports. He found joy in playing the guitar and piano and was an avid tennis player and fan of the sport throughout his life. He is survived by his four children: Chauntel Spruill; Clinton Spruill III and his wife VaDonna; Mary Ann Davis; and Corey Mitchell. He also leaves behind ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren who will cherish his memory. Clinton is also remembered by his three sisters: Mary Peterman, Bernadette Spruill, and Barbara Bunch. Clinton’s legacy of service, dedication to his craft, and love for music and family will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who mourn his passing. A celebration of Clinton’s life will be held at a later date and time.
