Ronald William Heiser
Ronald William Heiser, formerly of Waukegan, Illinois passed away January 2,2025 at home in North Richland Hills, Texas at the age of 75. Born December 4,1949 in Waukegan, Illinois he was the son of the late John and Ann Heiser. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Ann Heiser, and Sister Kathleen (Ori) Clendening. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran, that went on to serve his country working Civil Service as a Mechanic, then Supervisor of Maintenace at Fort Sheridan, Illinois. He retired at age 50 and moved to Texas. He was a Past Commander and Life member of VFW Post #1293 Waukegan, Illinois. He was a Jack of all trades mastering most of them. He enjoyed fixing things, Gardening, Cruising, and his family and friends. He is Survived by his wife of 55 years Darlene of North Richland Hills, Tx. Daughter Jamie Heiser of North Richland Hills, Tx. Son Matthew Heiser (Toni) of Lake Villa, Illinois, Two Granddaughters Lani and Rilee Heiser of Lake Villa, Illinois. Sister Janet (Turchin) Kahrs of Larosa, Louisiana and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be donated to your favorite charity.

  1. Our heartfelt condolences go out to your families and friends. Ron was an amazing man that always found time to help others. Ron and Darling were wonderful neighbors in Waukegan. We will always remember him and his giving heart.

  2. Jack of all trades for sure! I always learned something when watching Ron work. The only person who was ever able to make me get on the roof of my house so he could show me what was happening up there.

  5. It is with a sad heart that I heard of Ron’s passing.

    When I first moved to Texas and moved in next door, Ron and Darlene greeted me with open arms. Ron was so very welcoming and always available to talk. As everyone knows, he was indeed a Jack of all trades and always willing to lend a helping hand – like helping me rebuild the gates at the house.

    My condolences and deepest sympathies to Darlene and the family.

    He will be missed.
