In Loving Memory of Glenda McKee Abbott It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Glenda, who was called home to be with the Lord on January 6, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on December 24, 1943, she was a beacon of love, warmth, and kindness throughout her life. Glenda was a devoted mother, Memaw, and friend, whose compassion and generosity touched the lives of many. Her unwavering love and support for her family were unparalleled, and she was always there to offer a comforting word or a helping hand. She married the love of her life, Robert Abbott on May 18, 1962. They were married almost 61 years before his death. She had a passion for Jesus and her enthusiasm was infectious. Whether she was sharing Jesus with others, singing, or simply spending time with her loved ones, Glenda brought joy and laughter to every moment. Her legacy lives on through her children, Bethany Nichols (Paul), Gwennette Tennison (Roy), Julie Neathery (Rick), and grandchildren, Billy, Pamela (Matt), Rachel (Jamin), Shonda (Scott), Felicia (Rick), Jonathan (Jessica), Jessica (Chilo), Mary (Patrick), Bethany (Tim), Jacob, Drew (Hannah), and great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish the memories of her love, wisdom, and strength. She also leaves behind numerous friends and relatives who were touched by her spirit and generosity. A celebration of Glenda’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on January 25, 2025, at Diamond Oaks Worship Center, 5708 Diamond Oaks Drive S, Haltom City, Texas 76117, where we will gather to honor and remember her remarkable journey. Glenda was preceded in death by her son, Robert, Jr. (Robbie), her husband, Robert, her parents, her sisters, Gwen, Nellie, June, Pam, her brother Harold, her great-granddaughter Bayleigh and her great grandson, Kaleb. Glenda will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her love and light will continue to guide and inspire us all.
