James Robert Mitchell passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on December 29, 2024. He was born on June 30, 1970 in Dallas, Texas. Preceded in death by his mother Linda and his beloved dog Rascal. James Robert is survived by his spouse, Johnna, six stepchildren Marilyn, Robby, Jason, Angel, Nadine, and Evelyn, his brother, Jerry, his father, Mike, Aunt Belinda, his best friend Ron, and his pets, Isabella, Daphne,Jax, DJ, Precious and Gizmo. He will be missed by many other relatives and friends. James Robert was a dedicated employee of Horn and Barlow for 27 years. Shortly before starting that journey, he met his wife Johnna and the two have been inseparable for 30 years. He was a hard-working husband, father and friend. When he wasn’t working, you could have found him fishing with those closest to him. A memorial of James Roberts life will be held at Possum Kingdom Lake in Caddo, Texas at a later date. My deepest condolences. He will always hold such sweet memories for me through his growing up journey. He was the first baby I held ,and first diaper I learned to change. So many summers spent at the lake learning to swim ,and fish . He will be missed so very much .

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family during this time but our breaking for the loss of a wonderful friend. Every time we saw Robert he always had a smile on his face, he was one of the sweetest, hard work people I knew. His memory will live on in our thoughts and hearts.
