Jamie Sheppard McLaurin, of Waxahachie, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2024, in Waxahachie, TX. Jamie was born on March 13, 1964, in Waxahachie, TX to the late Clay and Ethel Sheppard. Jamie had a fierce love for music and family. She will be missed by all who came in contact with her. Jamie is survived by her loving children Brandon (wife, Brandi) Reynal of Granbury and Clayton (wife, Nicole) McLaurin of Rio Vista; grandchild, Cole McLaurin; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by her brother, Steve (wife, Alea) Sheppard of Waxahachie. Along with her parents, Jamie is preceded in death by sister and brother-in-law, Lynda and Ronnie Wynns. In accordance to Jamie’s wishes, her family will hold a private celebration of life, filled with fond memories.

Jamie was one of my favorite classmates from my years growing up in Waxahachie. I was in 7th grade when I moved there and then my family moved away when I was a junior in high school. She always made me feel so welcome and a part of everything every time our paths crossed. My heart aches to think of this world without her.
