Justin Wiley Owens was born to Jackie and Johnnie Owens on April 5, 1974. He passed into the arms of Jesus in his home surrounded by his family on December 1, 2024. In Justin’s last days he expressed to his family that he had no fear of death because he was confident that Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross was sufficient payment for his sins and that his faith in Christ would lead him into his eternal home. In his early ages Justin grew up in Rio Vista, Texas and later moved to Cleburne, Texas where he graduated from Cleburne High School in 1992. Justin spent most of his career as a land surveyor where he was promoted to Party Chief. With the guidance of the Lord and true to Justin and Cindy’s adventurous spirit they sold their home in Midlothian purchasing a tiny home on wheels and along with their son Zander, they set out for Justin to continue his career as a field inspector. They were able to settle in Panama City Beach, Florida for a couple of years enjoying the “Salt Life” that Justin and Cindy loved so much. Justin enjoyed several hobbies throughout his lifetime which included, remote control cars, wood working and mountain biking. Justin had a love for the entertainment industry and was a true movie buff ! He was able to obtain unnecessary knowledge of movies, actors and movie quotes that he would often repeat and include in his conversations throughout his life bringing laughter to those he loved. He dreamt about becoming a standup comedian where he often wrote material to create a funny bit. I can only imagine that he is standing amongst the crowds of heaven bringing laughter and joy to all, as he so often did here on earth even in his very last days. Justin was survived by his wife of 16 years, Cindy Owens; his son Zander Willett; his daughter Jesicca Owens; his daughter Madisyn Smith and her husband Jamie Smith. Justin was known as Bumpaw to his beloved 4 grandchildren, Mason, Presley, Parker, and Gunner. He was also survived by his brother Jayson and his wife Sherrie Owens, his sister Janet and her husband Mark Stouflett. He also leaves behind his loved nieces and nephews and their families.
