Darlene Ann Griffin
Darlene Ann Griffin, aged 81, passed away on October 29, 2024, in the comfort of her home in Little Elm, Texas. Born on October 22, 1943, Darlene’s life was characterized by her loving and free-spirited nature, deeply rooted in her faith and love for her family. Throughout her career, Darlene worked in various fields, including the retail sector, the hotel industry, and as a sterling silver seller at craft shows, where she shared her sparkle and charm with every customer she met. Darlene’s personal life was filled with joy derived from simple pleasures like cooking with her grandchildren, whom she adored being their Mimi. She was an avid fan of Star Trek, which she enjoyed watching during quiet moments. Above all, Darlene cherished spending time with her family, creating lasting memories with every gathering. She is survived by a loving family: sons, Bradley and Jeffrey Wilcox; grandchildren, Megan, Kaitlyn, and Joshua Wilcox; her sister Gloria Smith; brother Gary Gorrell; brother and his wife, Teryl & Mary Beth Gorrell; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other cherished relatives. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Fritz and Alexine Gorrell, her sister Joyce Becker, husband Dan Griffin, sister-in-law Josella Gorrell, and her son Steven Wilcox. A memorial to celebrate Darlene’s life will be held in Spring 2025, with details to come. Her life exemplified a commitment to love and family, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
