Laurette was born in New Jersey in January 1960 and spent most of her childhood and early years in West Covina, California. In 1981, she moved to Texas, where she married in 1987 and began a family that grew to include four children and two grandchildren. Laurie enjoyed a career spanning over 20 years in administrative and supervisory roles. After her divorce in 2008, she earned an Associate’s degree in Environmental Technology and HAZMAT safety. In 2016, she remarried and embarked on adventures across the United States with her husband. Laurie’s devotion to her loved ones was unwavering. She cherished her children and grandchildren and had a deep passion for learning, exploring diverse cultures, and experimenting in the kitchen with cooking and baking. She is survived by her four children, Janece, Heather, Wesley, and Michael; her two grandchildren, Roman and Eden; the father of her children, Jack Owen II; her four siblings, Paula, Brian, David, and Patrick; and many nieces and nephews. Laurette touched our lives profoundly, and her memory will forever echo in the hearts of her family and friends. We hold her close in our thoughts and memories.
