Vonda Mayers
Vonda Sue Mayers aged 60, passed away on August 20, 2024, in Weatherford, Texas. Born on August 16, 1964, in Lewistown, Pennsylvania, Vonda’s life was marked by her deep love for her family and her community. Vonda spent much of her career as a cashier at various truck stops around Weatherford, Texas. She was well-known for her friendly demeanor and the kind way she treated everyone who came through her line. Beyond her professional life, Vonda was an avid crafter. She found joy in creating custom cups, pens, and car freshies. Her entrepreneurial spirit shone through when she started a small purse business, bringing her creative visions to life and sharing them with others. Family was the cornerstone of Vonda’s life. She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Jimmy Mayers; her children, Nathan Wagner and spouse Michelle, John Nickel and spouse Elizabeth, Jessica Reynolds and spouse Erik, Sean Jones and spouse Hannah, Taylor Mayers, and Tanner Mayers and Shelby Rogers. Vonda’s legacy also lives on through her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Russell Blessing and spouse Jennifer, Tammy Bossert and spouse Brian, Michelle Hopple and spouse Mark, Michael Snook, William Snook, Donald Blessing, Lewis Blessing, Darwin Stultz, and Marian Moore. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Snook and Dorris Blessing, and her sister, Carol Blessing. There will be a celebration of life on September 7, 2024 at Harberger Hill Community center located at 701 narrow st Weatherford Texas 76086. From 12 -3 pm.
