Jared Michael Stockton
Jared Michael Stockton, 44, passed peacefully with his family at his bedside on 4/3/2024 at Harris Hospital in Fort Worth, Tx. He died from critical injuries sustained when he was accidentally struck by a car on 3/25/2024 in Arlington, Texas. Jared was a longtime registered organ donor. His generous organ donations helped 3 people with the gift of life when he passed. Jared grew up playing all sports, riding horses, and swimming in Arlington, Tx. He was a member of the ROTC in high school in St. Augustine, Florida. He went on to earn a certification for HVAC. Jared will be remembered for his quick wit, ready smile, infectious laugh, tenacious nature, tender heart and his willingness to help others. He loved his family, playing with his nieces and nephews, music, hockey and animals, especially his rescue dog “Chance” Jared’s death was a devastating loss to his family. Though his time on earth was short he will remain part of our lives, in our memories forever. He will be missed. We like to think he is with his beloved grandmother Janice Dyer watching and smiling over us. He leaves behind parents Pamela and Joseph Petersen Sr.- Brothers Jason Stockton and Joseph Petersen Jr. ( wife Kristi), sister Jennifer Hoffpauir (husband Benjamin) nephews Jace Stockton, Brecken Hoffpauir and nieces Cameron and Riley Petersen and Preslee and Kylee Hoffpauir of Midlothian, Tx. Also sister Laurie Stockton of North Carolina and brother James Stockton Jr. of New York. He is preceded in death by his biological father James Stockton Sr.
