Andrew William Banz (19) of Fort Worth, lost his life in a tragic car accident on May 10, 2024. Andrew was born on August 29, 2004 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Charles & Sarah Banz. He was the third of 5 children. From the moment he was born, he brought color and happiness to all who really knew him. His infectious smile, easy laugh, his love of family and his eagerness to be a friend were his trademarks. Andrew had a gift for making people feel comfortable and at ease. He was a recent graduate of Timber Creek High School (2023) and a shift manager at the local Sonic Drive-in. Andrew had a passion for all things cars and was known for his red Kia Rio. He had an eagerness to learn all he could about cars and loved talking about them to anyone he met. Spontaneity came easy to Andrew as having fun and enjoying life was important to him. His random trip to Oklahoma one evening after work with his best friend only to stop at a gas station and buy little jugs of chocolate milk is evidence of that. He was fiercely loyal and would drop everything to help a friend or family member. His heart was so big and he couldn’t stand anyone he cared about to be hurting. Everyone knew they could count on Andrew when they needed him. Andrew’s unexpected passing has reminded us that life is to be celebrated. Time is precious and should be spent on things that have meaning and with the people we love and care about most. He is survived by his parents Charles and Sarah Banz; siblings Cameron, Jacob, Nathan, and Haley; paternal grandparents Bob and Shar Banz; maternal grandmother Eileen Elmer; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Please join us at a Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 27th from 11am – 1pm at the Barn behind St Peters Church at 15701 Cleveland Gibbs Rd, Roanoke, TX 76262. Casual attire is preferred. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to friends, family and neighbors for all of the cards, texts and meals after his passing. The love and concern shown has been very appreciated.
