Lewis C. Wilkerson Jr, 70, of Bedford, TX passed away peacefully Saturday June 15, 2024. He was born September 15, 1953 in Ft Worth, TX to Lewis C. Sr. and Mineola Wallace Wilkerson. Lewis grew up in the Methodist Church and later became an ordained minister after receiving a Master’s of Theology degree from Bright Divinity School at TCU in Ft Worth, TX. After leaving full time ministry, he had many different interests including computers/technology as well as teaching history and psychology at Strayer University. He also loved spending time with his children and grandchildren fishing, playing games and watching movies. He is proceeded in death by his parents. He survived by his daughters Stacey Russell of Hurst and Kelley Leyva (husband Luis) of Ft Worth. 6 grandchildren: Nick, Taylor, Lewis (LJ) Russell and Landen, Kassidy, Braxten Leyva. Also by his childhood sweetheart and former spouse, the mother of his daughters, Terry Wilkerson. In lieu of a funeral service, the family will hold a celebration of life on Saturday, June 29th at 2:30P at the home of his daughter Kelley Leyva. 7917 Calla Ct Ft Worth TX 76123
