Virginia Nell (GG) Leath, 70, of Azle, Tx, went to be with Our Lord and Savior on May 1st, 2024. She was born in Richland Hills and graduated from Richland High School in 1972. After serving 25-plus years, she retired from Southwestern Bell in the mid-90s. In her younger years, she was a member of Living Word Community Church. When SWBell took her to Waco, she was an active member of Bosqueville Baptist Church. When she returned to the Azle area, she found a home at Lakeside Baptist Church where she became a very involved member; assisting with VBS, children’s ministry, and women’s ministry before she became ill. She was also an avid ballroom dancer. Though she never married or had children, she was always hosted by nieces, nephews, and great-greats. She was known lovingly to her nieces and nephews as GG. She was a loving dog mom to Ginger and JoJo. She had a very contagious laugh, and loved hanging out with her cousins while doing so. Traveling was one of her loves, and she went to Haiti and Israel and took several motorcycle trips with her cousin, Mike. Survived by her brother Bill Leath of Springtown, TX, sister-in-laws Mary Leath of Watauga, TX, and Stella Leath of Saginaw, TX, and countless nieces, nephews, great and great-great, as well as countless friends. Preceded in death by her parents, R.G. and Marie Leath, her brothers Bob Leath and David Leath, and sister Debra Leath, as well as her sister-in-law Sherry Leath. Celebration of life will be held , Saturday May 18th 2024, at North Park Baptist Church 7025 Mid-Cities Blvd. North Richland Hills, TX, 76182. Following the services, the family will be gathering at Bosses Pizza to continue the celebration of Virginia’s life; 5600 Rufe Snow Ste# 110 North Richland Hills, TX, 76180.
