Betty Louise Boone, 80, passed away surrounded by family on April 10, 2024, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Betty was born to the late Orlan and Thelma Johnson on October 3rd, 1943, in Natchitoches, Louisiana. She married Charles M. Boone in 1963. They lived in Ville Platte, Louisiana, before relocating to Bossier City, La., and ultimately spent their remaining years together in Haughton, La. before Charles’ death in 1999. Betty is survived by two of her three children, seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, as well as many other family members who loved her dearly. Son, Scott Boone and wife, Lori Boone, of Quitman, La.; daughter, Tonya Delano and husband, Steven Delano, of Frisco, TX; grandchildren: Joseph Boone, Amber Osterhoff, Madison Osterhoff, Savannah Osterhoff, Autumn Wood, Savannah Dowden, Madaline Dowden; great granddaughter, Evelyn Feris; Sister, Orlie Thorne and husband, William Thorne and nephew, David Thorne. She is preceded in death by her beloved son, Kirk Mitchell Boone and nephew, Darren Thorne as well as husband Charles Boone. Betty’s career consisted of working in sales at Louisiana Downs and Walmart, and as a beauty consultant for Walgreens. Above all, she will be fondly remembered for her passion of resale and execution of the most amazing garage sales. Memories of her beautiful smile, laughter, and uncanny wit will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. Memorial services will be held at Christ the King Church in Bossier City, La., on Tuesday, May 21st at 10 am.

I’m so sorry to hear of this loss; Betty was an amazing and loving person. I was blessed to work with her for few years and to still be friends with Amber. Betty could always make me or others smile. Full of love and laughter; my deepest condolences and many prayers 🙏
Betty was my God Mother . She took that duty to heart. She was alway their in my younger years. I often stayed with them for summers when they lived in south Louisiana. Even when iI was older she would give me adive. I will miss her and this loss makes me sad. To the family i send my love.
