Jamie Doretta Tracy passed away on September 21, 2023, at the age of 55 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born on December 3, 1967, in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Jamie was a loving, caring, larger-than-life individual who touched the lives of those around her with her kind and funny personality. Jamie is survived by her spouse, John “Tim” Tracy of Justin, Texas, her son Grant Helenbrook of Justin, Texas, her mother Jennifer Baxley of Conway, Arkansas, and her brother Steve Baxley, also of Conway, Arkansas. Additionally, she leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members who will miss her dearly. Jamie is preceded in death by her father, Donald Baxley, her paternal grandmother Vertie Baxley, her paternal grandfather Edward Baxley, her maternal grandmother Anna Pearl Stephens, and her maternal grandfather Sam Stephens. In terms of education, Jamie attended Tarrant County College, where she received her nursing degree. Throughout her career, Jamie worked as an emergency room nurse for over 13 years. She also had experience working at American Airlines in the parts department. In her younger years, Jamie pursued her passion for photography and studied the art form. Outside of work, Jamie enjoyed traveling, relaxing on her back porch, and spending quality time with her family and friends. These hobbies brought her much joy and fulfillment. A Celebration of Life will be held on October 21, 2023, at Paradise Cove in Grapevine, Texas. The Celebration will commence at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Jamie’s memory to the Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital or Donate Life. These organizations were close to Jamie’s heart, and any support will be greatly appreciated. Jamie Doretta Tracy will forever be remembered for her love, care, and larger-than-life personality.
