Jameel Shaheed, aka Carlis Thomas passed away August 23,2023. Our family called him J. J was very smart growing up; reading all of Dr. Suess books at the age three. As he grew up he loved cartoons, video games, music, he had various interests and was a very deep thinker. One family member said J was a universal thinker. He was also funny and analyzed everything! He is preceded in death by great nephew Jacori Lacy. He is survived by parents Oliver Thomas and Nadirah Shaheed. Sister Ameenah Atkins bil Michael; nephews Brandon, Anthony, Carl & Chris; neices Tricia, Marion, Tattiani. Brother Oliver J Thomas(AJ) neice Olivia Thomas, brother Omar Thomas, brother Sadat Thomas nephews Andrew, Zyon Ryder, and Anwar. Neices Aliyah, Tyana,& Zariah. Auntie Retha, Auntie, Diane cousins Orenda &Shraina along with a host of other cousins and great neices and nephews We all love and miss you J.
