Albert De Los Santos, Jr., age 79, of Irving, Texas, passed peacefully into Heaven on July 6, 2023. Known for his quick mind, a kind word, and hearty laugh, Albert had a deep passion for his family, friends, America, traveling and fishing. As his health declined in the last year, Albert was so grateful for the support and help of his family and friends. Albert will be remembered as a loving Daddy, cherished Papa, and loyal friend. Albert De Los Santos Jr. was born on July 9th, 1943 in Corpus Christi ,Texas. He graduated from Roy Miller High School and Del Mar College. He married and moved to Dallas in 1967 and soon after bought a home in Irving, Texas. He settled there and raised his family. During those early years, he was an active member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church and the Catholic Order of Foresters. Albert also discovered his love of motorcycles and for many years he assisted Santa Claus, delivering gifts by motorcycle in south Irving dressed as the Big Guy. By trade, Albert was a respected machinist in the Aerospace & Defense industry. Albert was a true American patriot who loved his country and was honored to have been a part of its military history. He loved to travel and was able to visit 49 out of the 50 states and made sure to pass on his love of adventure to his children and their children. Albert had a big heart and charmed many throughout his lifetime. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert De Los Santos Sr. and his mother, Esperanza Dos Santos and step-father Americo Dos Santos, his sisters, Linda Maldonado (Pete) and Diana Barrera (Lino), daughter Ruth Eatherly (Richard), and nephew David De Los Santos (Lori). He is survived by his daughter Tina Aviles (Israel), and grandchildren: Laurel Johnson, Joshua Johnson, Ryon Johnson, Ricki Eatherly, Brynnon Eatherly, Samuel Aviles (Britney), Olivia Aviles, Ezequiel Aviles, and Diego Aviles, plus his great grandchildren: Aria Johnson, Carlos Johnson, Maya Johnson, Leonel Aviles, and Liliana Aviles, as well as many extended family members and friends. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 23, 2023 from 2pm – 4pm, at the Large Pavilion at Mike Lewis Park in Grand Prairie, Texas. In remembrance of his love for travel the attire will be casual and attendees are encouraged to wear shirts/hats from their own favorite travels.
