BURLESON: Services for John R. (Bob) McCrory, 84, of Burleson, will be held Friday, October 9, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Cana Baptist Church. Burial will be in Laurel Land Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 Pm Thursday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home. Mr. McCrory passed away on Sunday, in Fort Worth. He was born October 9, 1930 in Crosby County, Texas to John and Thelma Wristen McCrory. He graduated from high school in Petersburg, Texas where he participated in football and boxing. He attended Draughn Business College and took a Dale Carnegie Course that helped him in his long career in auto sales. His career in car and truck sales spanned some thirty- five years. During this time he was sales manager in new truck sales and was also one of the top salesmen in the Dallas area. He was also in the Hall of Honor in Chevrolet sales. He was also manager and Chairman of the Board of Texas Cotton Gin in West, Texas for twelve years. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of Cana Baptist Church serving as an usher and greeter. He is survived by his wife Lois, of Burleson; son:Danny and wife Tina and grandchildren, Jake and Shelby, all of Pueblo, Colorado. Memorials may be made to Cana Baptist Church or The Salvation Army. “WE FOUGHT A GOOD FIGHT”
