Dear Carolyn and Roger,
We are made by our roots and I am greatly aware of the beautiful impact our raising has contributed to the good life I enjoy today.
Aunt Dorcas (all the cousins were aunts because we had not aunts) was as pure
as people can get. I never saw her judge anybody or chastise anybody. I never saw anything but kindness in her face. Mother adored her as did Lissa and I. The world I know to day is a little better because of the sweet, honest, uncomplicated soul that was
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Carolyn,
You always showed your genuine love and care for your mother.
Carolyn, We only knew you and your mother for about two years, because our mothers were in the same room at the nursing home.
Dorcas was a true gentle woman. I always appreciated her soft spoken and kind ways; she was patient and tender hearted and always looked me in the eye when we spoke. When my son Matt died, she handed me a personal check and ever so sweetly suggested I plant something in his memory. Now it will be my honor to do the same for her.
With BIG love,
Lissa
