This solid cherry hardwood handmade urn is an original by Kurt & Melody Bellock. The light cherry color is completely natural without stains or artificial colors. The urn is finished with a light coat of lacquer which brings out the natural color and beauty. The tall spherical filigree lid is hand turned and painted black. This is a simple elegant urn.

Kurt & Meloldy Bellock’s studio is in Salt Lake City, Utah. They specialize in turning, inlaying, and sculpting heirloom art pieces. Their turnings are made from Utah native hardwoods. The trees they sculpt are from mature hardwood trees who have lived a long life and are now being removed. By using this wood, we have the honor of releasing the Spirit and Soul of the Tree and giving it a second life as a beautiful piece of art. The Bellock’s would like everyone to know that: “We rescue trees headed for landfills and wood piles…we don’t use exotic species from our dwindling rain forests.”
