Nicholas Sean Cowan
It is with great sadness that the family of Nicholas Sean Cowan announce his sudden death at the age of 37.  Nick died at home in Dallas, Texas on Friday, June 10th, 2016.  He was the son of Maureen (Donovan) Cowan, Halifax and the late Phillip George Cowan.  Nick was outgoing and loved people.  He also loved his dog Rosie who he rescued and trained to be a registered Emotional Therapy dog.   Nick enjoyed his work in the Information Technology industry, and many outdoor activities especially ATV-ing, frisbee golf and motorcycling. He will be missed by his many friends and colleagues in the Dallas area.   He is survived by his devoted brother Brad Cowan also of Dallas, aunts and uncles on his mother’s side, Barry (Claire) Donovan, Susan (Ross) Waye, Jane (Greg Jones) Donovan, Jim Donovan, Patti Dwyer and, Scott (Jovanna) Donovan.  On his father’s side, from Digby, Nancy (Errol) Thompson, and Alda Cowan.  He is also survived by and will be sadly missed by his beloved cousins, Jeff, Carrie, Ryan, Adam, Sanford, Taylor, Mikey, Curtis, Stephanie, Debbie, Andrew, Donald “Chuck”, Jeffrey, Wanda, Susan, Kimberley and Errol Lee. Funeral service will be held at Saint Benedict Catholic Church, 45 Radcliffe Drive, Halifax on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local Mental Health Association.

    Scott and I were very sad to hear about your son’s death. We can’t imagine the grief this has brought to you and your family. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Your Good Shepherd family truly misses you and are holding you up in prayer.
