Nanette S. Kallmayer
Nanette Seuel Kallmayer, 84 passed away on August 6th, 2016 in Burleson TX, formerly of Urbana, IL. Loving daughter of Ralph and Evelyn Seuel, she married Fred Kallmayer on June 20th, 1952 in St. Louis, MO. Fred, her parents, sister Lola Lou, and twin Nanon preceded her in death. She is survived by her sons Frederick (Margie) Kallmayer of Burleson, TX, Craig (Eileen) Kallmayer of Charlotte, NC, Jefferey (Dorothy) Kallmayer of Austin, TX and grandchildren Charles Kallmayer, Christine Kallmayer, Austin Kallmayer, Kyleigh Melton, and Alyssa Kallmayer. Nan attended Concordia Lutheran Grade School and was a graduate of Maplewood High School in St. Louis. She studied Nursing at St. Lukes School of Nursing in St. Louis, and at Parkland College in Champaign. She worked as a Surgical Technician at Burnham Hospital. Nan’s most rewarding job was as a homemaker for her family, and she delighted in caring for Austin, Kyleigh and Alyssa as they were growing up. She was an enthusiastic fan of Illinois Football and Basketball, and was a season ticket holder with Fred for many years. She bled orange and blue! Nan was a long time member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Urbana where she played on the softball team in the 1970’s. She served in many roles, including President of ALCW, as Parish Life Deacon, member of the Property and Finance Board, as a VBS Teacher, with Meals on Wheels, with the Anna and Andrew Prayer Shawl Ministry, and helped organize literally hundreds of pot lucks and other fellowship meals and celebrations over the years. She also served with Fred on the Provena Hospital Auxilliary. There will be a Memorial Service celebrating Nan on Saturday, September 17th at 2PM at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 2200 S. Philo Road, Urbana, IL 61801.
