Lillian Blackwell
Lillian Faye Blackwell passed away in hospice care, after a courageous battle with breast cancer on September 30, 2017, in Fort worth Texas, at Huguley Nursing and Rehab Center. Lillian, the youngest daughter of Clifford Sr. and Catherine Blackwell, was born in Fort Worth, Texas on December 9, 1949. She graduated from Dunbar High School in 1968. After graduating from Tarrant County Community College, She completed Saint Joseph School of Nursing in 1972. She married Lawrence Smith Jr in 1973. Lillian enjoyed dancing, entertaining, and being the life of the party. She was fond of cooking, and making her famous seafood gumbo. Survivors, include her only child Lawrence Smith , four grand children, Cherish Eaton, Destin Alexander, and twins Lauren and Lawrence V Smith, brothers Lewis Blackwell and Clifford Blackwell (Grace), sister Wanda Blackwell Alexander (George), as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Lillian’s Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Oct. 20, 2017, 12:00 pm, at Stop Six Church of Christ, 4500 East Berry St, Fort Worth, Texas, 76105.
