Larry Curtis Fletcher
Larry Curtis Fletcher was born to Donald Leroy and Clo Jean Fletcher on June 27,1957 in Odessa, Texas. He passed into the arms of our Lord peacefully on Friday, September 8th, 2017 in Dallas Texas. He is preceded in death by his father Don. He is survived by his mother, Clo, siblings Steven Raymond and wife Julie, Bradley Williams, Gregory Lee and wife Amy, and Donna Jean and husband Jeff along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He is also survived his wife of 20 years, Sonja Waynette Fletcher, daughters Amanda Mae Fletcher Black and her husband Bo, Jamie Leigh Fletcher Shubert her husband Glenn, son Michael Dean Ashenfelter Junior and his wife Tiffany, daughter Amy Marie Ashenfelter Gatlin and her husband Blake, granddaughters Madison Kate, Elizabeth Leigh, Allyson Danae, Georgia Dean, Zoe Ainzlee, Amanda Benleigh, and grandsons Mason Glenn and Marcus Lane. Larry spent many years in the manufacturing and construction industries and was very involved in square dancing including being a member of the North Texas Square Dance Callers Association. He enjoyed RV’ing and playing 42 on the promenade on his boat while cruising with family as a founding member of the Fletcher Fun Fleet. He also enjoyed his regular Tuesday night poker game and being a spectator at his grandchildren’s sporting events and dance recitals. He graduated from Midlothian High School in 1975 and went onto receive a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education from Tarleton State University. Services will be held at Outdoorsman Church of God located at 4370 Joe Wilson Rd., Midlothian, Texas 76065, on Saturday, September 16th at 2:00pm. Casual/Hawaiian shirt attire. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation (www.netrf.org).

Even though we only came to know him through the marriage of Tiffany & Michael, he & Sonja immediately accepted us into your family.   7. Growing up across the street from Mandy and Jamie, I spent a lot of my childhood with the Fletcher’ s. I will always remember how much fun it was riding in his jeep, how he was quick to volunteer to help at Mandy’s soccer practice, and how kind he was to all of us kids.
    My deepest condolences to all his family.

  15. Dear CloJeean, I was so sorry to hear of the passing of your son Larry.. I remember him coming to visit when you and I were in rehab for knee replacement. It is so sad that he and Don had the same cancer – so painful both for him as well as his loved. ones. My thoughts and prayers for God’s strength as you go through these hard days.
