Jack A Hybarger Jr
— Jack A. Hybarger Jr. went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014, in Grapevine. Celebration of life: 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, at Fort Worth First Christian Church. 612 Throckmorton St., Fort Worth, 76102. He was born Sept. 29, 1921, in Shreveport, La. “Pop,” as he was known by to so many, was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Smith Hybarger. A disabled American veteran of World War II, Pop was proud of his years of service in the Army Air Corps as well as the 33 years he spent at American Airlines. Pop was well known and loved in the local community. Over the past few years, he became a fixture at North East Mall where he would do his daily walking and then take a seat in the food court and smile and wave at the people passing. Pop believed this to be his calling. As he once said, “it’s easier to tell someone God bless you after you smile at them. “ He was a very giving person, He especially enjoyed giving watches to anyone he saw without one. Pop always put the needs of others before his own. Pop was absolutely devoted to his family and friends. He was also a man of strong faith, believing in the power of Jesus Christ’s love and the beauty and peace that awaited him. Survivors: His son, Matt Hybarger and wife, Beth; daughter, Molly Woolridge; stepson, Ted Moffett III and his wife, Carrie; and 11 grandchildren (who he would want to name): Micah Hybarger, Joseph Hybarger, Chris Humphries, Caitlyn Humphries, Ryan Humphries, Jennifer Moffett, Kellee Abbott, Brad Denson, Ashley McGee and Nick Newberry.
