Isabel “Jimmie” B Martinez, 84, of Burleson, Texas was welcomed by Jesus Christ on Wednesday, Aug 31, 2016, with her family by her side. She was born on January 03, 1932 in Taylor, Texas to the late Tony and Isabel Buzan. She then moved to San Antonio, Texas where she lived with her husband and children. She had a wonderful life there, raising her three children and spending time with her sister, Grace. Isabel is preceded in death by her husband Arthur Martinez, Sr., siblings Lillian B. Cook, Louis Buzan, Grace B. Barrera, and Tony “Buster” Buzan. She is survived by her three children Cyndi Whitten and husband Marc, Arthur Martinez, Jr. and wife Lucy, Craig Martinez and wife Chrystyna, four grandchildren Qeana D’Ambra, Michelle and Patrick Martinez, and Zachary Martinez, four great grand children Dayne D’Ambra, Carson, Logan and Desmond Martinez, and numerous nieces and nephews. Isabel and her husband Arthur moved to Burleson in 2006, and took pleasure in living with her daughter and continuing to watch her family grow. Isabel had a special place in her heart for her entire family, all of whom brought her so much joy and love. She enjoyed cooking, watching her soap operas and adored visiting with her grandchildren and great grandchildren whenever possible.Isabel was a great blessing to any and all that were fortunate to have been touched by her kind heart. Our lives are enriched because of her. The family would like to thank Heritage Hospice for their care and support during her final days. The family will receive friends from 11am – 3pm Saturday, September 03 at the home of her daughter and son in law, Cyndi and Marc Whitten, 321 NE Michael Dr. Burleson, TX 76028.
