Dorothy Elizabeth (Beamon) Lane—Born on July 29, 1935 to Benjiman Harrison and Claudia Mae Beamon in Kerens, TX, joined her daughter Elizabeth Ann (Lane) Rhodes, her husband Robert Lane, and beloved parents on March 3 @ 9:45 pm at the age of 80, after a battle with COPD and CHF. She was surrounded by many family members when the Lord called her home. Dorothy was a life long resident of Snyder TX until 2006 when she moved to the Fort Worth area. She was a lifelong home maker, wife, and mother. She also had many “Regular” jobs throughout her life while living in Snyder. She loved being around friends and family. She is survived by her son, Robert Longdo-Lane and husband Erik of Fort Worth TX; daughter, Rosalea Olson and husband Ron of Gainesville FL; brother, Clyde Swan and wife Bobbie of Burleson TX; sister, Bennie Vinson and husband Boyd of Ignacio CO; her sister-in-law JoAnn Mayer of Snyder TX; two grandchildren, Kendra Hill of Gainesville and Mark McComb of Houston; two great granddaughters residing in Gainesville, FL. Many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews who all loved and admired their Aunt Dot, from all across the United States and abroad, and many life long friends in the Snyder area. Memorial Services, officiated by Reverend Carol West, will be on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Celebration Community Church, located at 908 Pennsylvania Ave in Fort Worth TX.
