Barbara S. Clark
Barbara S Clark of Joshua, Texas surrounded by her family passed away Saturday June 25 at 12:15 PM CST. Born in Brooklyn, NY September 18, 1942 to Selma and Leon Braunstein she is survived by her loving husband D. Mason Clark and two children Susan J. Shipman and J. Michael Shipman and daughter in law Stacey A. Shipman and two siblings Joni Hager and Bonny Grosz. Barbara was a consummate entrepreneur, prolific quilter and had a ceaseless sense of humor. As the owner, operator of Batiks Galore and the Quilting Retreat Center at Sunset Ranch in Joshua, TX, Barbara left an indelible impression on each and every person she met. For all that knew her, especially in the quilting community, they could attest to her quick wit, creative word play and funny sayings that split the sides of anyone in ear distance. With a laugh that could be heard for miles, a well of energy that inspired many and an endless stream of love for her pets and gardens, she leaves behind a legacy of making sure she “Never left her dreams in her pocket”. Visiting hours will be held at United Presbyterian Church in Cleburne, TX on Monday June 27, 2016 at 6:00-8:00 PM and a Memorial service will follow on Tuesday June 28, 2016 at 10:00 AM.
